Clemente Ciarrocca is an artist and theorist. Rooted in assemblage, gesture, audiovisual montage and a poetic approach to theory, Ciarrocca’s practice explores intimacy’s at once foundational and fugitive relationship to superstructures such as property, sight, identity. His presentations draw methodologically from the traditions of philosophical fiction and prison writing, combining textual and material work as co-extensive routes of flight from the bounded subject.
